Mitsubishi Electric units display alphanumeric error codes on the indoor unit display or through the kumo cloud app. Codes in the E6, P8, and U-series ranges are the ones CANRO technicians see most frequently in Metro Vancouver. E6 typically indicates a communication fault between the indoor and outdoor boards — often traced to a loose or corroded signal wire at the line-set junction after several wet BC winters. P8 points to a high-pressure trip, most often caused by a dirty outdoor coil, low refrigerant from a micro-leak, or a failing fan motor on the MUZ outdoor unit.
Refrigerant handling on Mitsubishi Electric systems requires precision because the inverter-driven compressor is sensitive to undercharge.
