For the core Metro Vancouver municipalities there is no special travel surcharge — our pricing is consistent across the region. For outlying areas (for example Bowen Island or the eastern Fraser Valley) we will always be transparent about any additional travel or ferry costs before we book, never after.
How fast can you get to me for a heating emergency?+
Response time depends on where you are and current demand, but because we are centrally located in Burnaby we can typically reach most of the core region quickly. Call us and we will give you an honest ETA for your address rather than a vague promise.
Are you licensed to work throughout BC?+
Yes. CANRO holds TSBC gas-fitting licensing and our technicians carry the credentials required to work legally across the province. We pull municipal permits in whichever city you are in, so your installation is inspected and code-compliant.

Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Free in-home estimates are provided for boiler, furnace, heat pump and water-heater replacements. Diagnostic visits for repairs carry a flat service fee that is credited toward the repair if you proceed.

Do you offer government rebates for heat pumps?
Yes. We are a registered contractor for BC Hydro, FortisBC and federal Greener Homes rebates. A high-efficiency heat pump installation can qualify for significant combined rebates depending on your home, equipment and income, and we handle the paperwork for you.
How quickly can you replace a broken hot water tank?
Standard 40 or 50-gallon gas or electric tanks are typically replaced same-day or next-day from stock. Tankless water heaters and larger-capacity units usually take 1–3 business days depending on parts availability.
